Job Summary:
HCI | integrated solutions is currently looking for a Software Design/Programmer. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and experience as a client facing representative. The candidate must have experience with the product, Tableau. Additionally, the candidate must understand the Software Development Lifecycle and the supporting software necessary to perform change management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain existing and developed operational Tableau products with optimization, streamlining informational linking and feeds.
* Perform general administrative functions.
* Provide expertise developing Tableau code that provides predictive results from analytical trending and modeling.
* Ensure data accuracy prior to creating ad hoc reports
* Facilitate the creation and maintenance of dashboards utilizing Tableau.
* Create and maintain Tableau dashboards, analysis, and data modes
* Collaborate on design sessions to understand analysis needs from Tableau
* Perform analysis of reporting to ensure accuracy and understand any reporting impacts of changes to upstream systems and/or downstream with business needs/models
* Share results of analysis with team lead and/or client
* Provide suggestions on best visualization techniques
* Provide any insights found in creating and studying the analysis
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Demonstrated experience with Tableau Desktop Application in an Enterprise environment
* Proficient with SQL, MYSQL, Java, DB2, Oracle database
* Experience with business intelligence tools
* Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related work experience. At least 1 - 3 years of experience with the Tableau Desktop Application in an Enterprise environment
* Preferred Tableau Qualified Associates or those with Tableau Certified Professional certification
* Advanced proficiency with SQL and data modeling.
* Experience with OBIEE
* Sound understanding of BI Best Practices/Methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling (OLAP, OLTP, etc.), structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques (including ETL techniques).
* Experience with integrating/blending data sets (data import/export, data cleansing/QA).
* Strong analytical skills to solve and model complex business requirements
* Ability to collaborate on a team with infrastructure, BI report development and business analyst resources, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical team members
* Experience gathering, and translating end user requirements into end user reports and Dashboards.
* Experience with multiple visualization types (Bar charts, Scatter Plots, Gantt Charts, Histograms)
* Experience with Tableau calculated fields, groups, sets and hierarchies
* Experience with Blending multiple data sources
* Experience with developing detailed Dashboard with filter, drill-down, and drop-down functionalities
* Experience in Human Computer Interaction, Data Science, Graphic Design or another related discipline is a plus
