**Job Description**

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team in Canada. Position will support the Canadian MHLH Chinook Helicopter Program. The successful candidate will function as an author for the Chinook (CH-47) Program. Experience may include mechanical, electrical, avionics and ordnance.

The Technical Data Designer will have a number of roles and responsibilities within the team, including but not limited to:

* Assists with the development of multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment, minor systems or sub systems.

* Assists or collects source data for research.

* Analyzes and validates source data based on predefined and developed assumptions.

* Assists or estimates technical requirements to determine project scope and deliverables.

* Analyzes and evaluates engineering source data, vendor data, and customer data in order to design, organize, and develop technical data required to operate and maintain CH-47 weapon systems.

* Analyzes and evaluates impact of engineering changes on technical data. The position requires the development and implementation of maintenance tasks, Fault Isolation Procedures (FIP's) and Maintenance Operational Check (MOC's).

* Requires the ability to read, interpret & analyze engineering data, tool lists, Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) data and supporting databases.

* The position requires an extensive working knowledge of the Chinook helicopter systems operation.

* Assists with quality reviews and validations, conducts in-process reviews, and supports verification.

**Qualifications**

Must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to personnel while interfacing effectively with team partners, Integrated Product Team (IPT) members, Customers and cross-functional disciplines.

* Requires knowledge of logistics support processes and requirements.

* Also needs to be familiar with Boeing Engineering and Product Support processes.

* Must be results oriented with excellent problem solving abilities, decision-making and organizational skills, as well as the capability to adapt to change and handle conflict situations calmly and dependably.

* This position requires strong organizational and communications skills (verbal and written).

* Must possess the ability to work as a member of an IPT. Strong administrative/PC skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are a must.

* Candidate should have high priority on first time quality and customer satisfaction.

* Person will be embedded with the joint Customer, Boeing and Supplier team in Petawawa, Ontario, Canada at the military base. The ability to acquire a secret clearance is mandatory.

Typical Education and/or Experience

Prefer Bachelor's degree and typically 2 to 4 years' related work experience or a Master's degree with up to 2 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
