Job Description:

The Field Solution Architect is a position that is focused on the products and services developed by our Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group (NSG). The focus of the role is to drive adoption and growth of our Solid Safe Disc (SSD) and future Non Volatile Memory (NVM) technologies and solutions in our Enterprise, High Performance Computing (HPC), Comms/Service Providers, Internet Portal Data Center (IPDC), Financial, Education, and Federal segments to help our End User customers take advantage of our latest technologies and solutions. This person will also develop a deep understanding of the software and hardware ecosystem and how it impacts the decisions of our customers, raise the skills of the technical field community, and drive customer requirements into the division through executive reviews and the planning processes. This person will have to work closely with the multiple business units including marketing, business development, various engineering teams, and Intel Field Sales MNC/OEM teams to help drive solutions into our customer base and influence future Intel product/roadmap direction.

- The Field SA candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification with at least 5 years experience in engineering or applications support (preferably with server or storage system hardware and software for use in data center applications using both Windows and Linux based operating systems).
- Experience in SAS / SATA, Fiber Channel, or PCIe storage components, RAID controllers, HBAs, Expanders, JBODs strongly preferred.
- Understanding of key HW and SW trends within data centers related to Big Data, HPC, Content Delivery, OLTP, Virtualization, Private vs Public Cloud, Storage, Networking, and General Corporate IT applications.
- Sales or marketing experience is desirable.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required, including the ability to effectively present in front of a large audience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed in order to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt driven environment.
- Good relationship building skills are necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of Intel and the customer.
- Candidate needs to be able to integrate technical, business, market and environmental conditions into a compelling solution that meets the needs of Intel and the customer.
