### JOB SUMMARY:

**About the Position:**This position is under the supervision of the Deployment Equipment PSID. The referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) in Warren, Troy, Southfield and/or Selfridge ANGB, Michigan. The ILSC is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Army's investment in war fighting capacity as integrators of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army's war fighting capability.

### DUTIES:

You will serve as Vehicle Systems Manager with full responsibility for groups of commodity classes, several equipment subsystems or total tracked or wheeled vehicle systems. Plans, controls and manages assigned equipment from concept through entire life span, including disposal. As agency representative and spokesman of various committees, panels, and task force teams which develop and determine plan, procedures and criteria maintenance quality control of equipment systems, etc., has commitment authority to make decisions concerning maintenance policy procedures which affect materiel readiness of the total vehicle system. Plans, conducts, and formulates studies to improve the combat readiness posture of equipment in the hands of the user and methods for combat readiness evaluation. Performs long range maintenance concept studies and participates in technological developmental projects to provide and establish advanced maintenance techniques compatible with the state of the art. Responsible for the technical guidance of subordinates assigned to accomplish actions of designated projects. Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of tank-automotive vehicle systems, subsystems and groups of commodity classes; maintenance procedures and knowledge of the technical data requirements related to provisioning and logistical support including the development of Statements of Work and Contract Data Requirements List; Federal Supply Classification determinants; Item Management Coding; requirements for descriptive item identification and National Stock Number assignment.

### QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

**Experience required:**

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: One or more years of experience as a equipment specialist with experience participating in logistics demonstrations, technical manual development, technical manual verifications, experience reading, interpreting and presenting military maintenance specifications; applying military regulations during the logistics development process; developing, directing, and executing maintenance related scope of work; and managing System level Maintenance development efforts; responding timely and professionally to field inquiries, organizational taskers, and programs office requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-11 grade (or equivalent).
