Job Description
**Summary of Responsibilities include:**
* Serves as a subject matter expert on employee benefits marketing with a focus on the Regional Market (100-4,999 eligible lives)
* Develops positioning and copy for a range of formats and media
* Translates technical product and segment information and writes content adapted to marketing channel and B2B audience
* Reviews, recommends, develops and executes best in class marketing tactics for B2B audience through the most effective channels available. Work includes campaign development/ execution (e.g., list sourcing/validation, creative, distribution, measurement)
* Responsible for Content Management System, ensures relevancy of materials and maintains consistent flow of communication to heighten awareness and usage
* Provides bi-weekly summary of usage and manages collateral/content process for Content Management System
* Reviews business strategy/plans and consults with business and marketing partners on marketing best practices(e.g., tactics, channels, segmentation) and effectiveness (e.g., metrics) to maximize value and return
* Drives holistic marketing communication planning with partners on behalf of the Regional Market (e.g., advertising, PR, internal communications)
* Collaborates with market research to define strategies
* Partners with Global Brand, Communications and ebusiness, as well as external vendors/agencies to deliver marketing programs
* Coordinates and completes state filings and tracking
* Drives project management of marketing communications deliverables to be on time and on-budget
Job Requirements
* 7+ years of relevant experience with proven track record in developing highly effective market and product positioning, messaging, sales presentations and marketing content for B2B audience
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Ability to translate technical information into effective messages, materials and campaigns (copywriting, creative) that is between the 9th-12th grade reading level
* Demonstrates technical and functional expertise (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Advertising, and/or Industry/Thought Leadership)
* Experience with the production of marketing communication materials (e.g., sell sheets, brochures, presentations, emails, kits, operational guidelines, folders)
* Experience with the launch of marketing communications through a variety of marketing channels (e.g., email, direct mail, online, call center)
* Understanding/experience in effective graphic design and branding principles
* Experience developing and executing marketing plans that produce deliverables on time and on budget
* Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing, editing and presentation abilities
* Proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
* Works effectively with data partners and resources to produce results through effective targeting, tracking and measurement
* Actively explores, tests and integrates new tactics and technologies
* Professional presence and ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization including remote areas/locations, business partners, vendors and internal resources
* Employee benefits or financial services experience preferred
