This year, attendees at DCD Converged New York, happening March 11 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, are invited to test drive the condensed version of an instructor-led DCProfession
al (DCPRO) Development course – in just 40 minutes. DCPro Taster Sessions will be hosted by Julius Neudorfer, a Master Instructor for the DCPro Development program. The DCPro suite of CEU-eligible courses is quickly becoming one of the most recognized education frameworks for individuals and corporations.
“DCPro is a natural fit for DatacenterDynamics Converged New York,” states Jason Velody, Managing Director of DCPro. “Participants will have the opportunity to experience firsthand how our courses can contribute to their professional development. The topics in these taster sessions cover key issues affecting the industry and demonstrate the ways in which data center specialists can further develop their skills and gain knowledge of emerging trends.”
Available Taster Sessions
Data Center Design Awareness (DCDA): 11:30 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.
In this course, key design considerations will be covered and students will develop the skills required for understanding how these concepts apply to each data center discipline and knowing the critical interdependencies that exist. Leading global industry experts influenced the development of this course, which is delivered by trainers with many years of personal experience in designing, building and operating data centers. Energy Efficiency Best Practice (EEBP): 1:15 p.m. – 1:55 p.m.
Trends in global energy and data center power consumption will be examined so students can determine how these trends can be applied in their own data center environments. This course was recently updated to reflect global best practices, including standards established by the EU Code of Conduct, ASHRAE, The Green Grid, British Computer Society, US EPA and IEEE. Data Center Cooling Professional (DCCP): 2:00 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.
Thermal management of a data center facility is a complex issue. In this course the thermodynamics of cooling are presented in easy-to-understand terms, with a focus on the application of cooling concepts that can be used in data centers today. While the course does not replace the need for a knowledgeable HVAC engineer, it does provide ample detail to allow the student to successfully operate the cooling system within a data center. Register Now.
Data Center Power Professional (DCPP): 2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
This course covers the overall understanding of how power requirements impact the way data centers are designed and operated. From fundamentals of power distribution to critical power components and maintenance/safety, this course provides a granular understanding of the key challenges related to infrastructure investments and how to manage the complexities of change.
