Today I am taking a break from my normal posts to share something that is on my mind. This picture was drawn by my daughter Heather and I couldn't find a more apt picture for this post. These days, the world has gone far too political correct at the cost of the People. Enough is enough. I am not a politician and will never be. I am an American Citizen and I am so tired of the world the way it is. It's disgraceful. We have given power to the politicians and there is abuse galore. As Lord Acton stated, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." This was true then as it is now.
It's time to take big government and send it packing. I don't care what party you belong to, it seems like the majority of the politicians today are only out for themselves and no one cares about the People that they are actually voted in to represent. I would love to see a total reverse of the power. The People elect their local representatives and live by them. No more hiding in Congress and stopping by to visit now and then. Represent those that elected you. Next on the list would be the counties, followed by the states and then, way down the line is the Federal Government.
Let's talk immigration. There are procedures to enter this country legally. If you don't enter legally, you are kicked out. Period. You and your whole family can leave. Why penalize those that are following the rules. If you aren't a citizen, forget benefits being paid to you. If you can't make it here, go back to where you came from. It is not the job of another country to support you. We have to take care of our own. Too many Americans are having a hard time, many are homeless, unemployed, etc. It's a very sad state of affairs. I read reports of illegals fighting and saying they are going to sue our government for not supporting them. OK, I get it you need help. Here's a one-way ticket out and let your country help you out. If you are coming here to the USA and you think the USA has to change for you, forget it. You don't like the country and want to make it more like the country you are fighting to leave? Go home! If you love that country so much, stay there!
Language. Many immigrants have come to this country for a better life through the proper channels. Kudos to you. They have learned English and are working for a better life. I love it. If you want to come here, great. Follow the rules and learn the language. We aren't going to use our tax money to teach you and help you in foreign languages. Learn the language and help make the country a better place for all. Years ago I thought about moving to Spain. You know what? If I did, I would have had to pay for school for my girls because they taught school in Spanish! Can you imagine? They weren't going to spend their People's money teaching my kids something that was my choice? No more press 1 for English. The recordings should be in English.
Welfare is another problem. I understand that at times, people need some help. Work for it. But trust me, you will get paid way below scale. If you need food, there are people that refuse to work. They can deliver food, healthy food, right to your home. Who is delivering? Those that are saying they are too good to work. We all know that food stamps are abused - not by all, but my many. When you take this out of the state level and bring it down to the neighborhoods, you will see more of who is abusing the system. I can't say to let people starve, but no, food stamps is not to buy drugs and shopping sprees. You want that? Get a job!
Stop farming jobs overseas. I understand that many business owners needs to make millions of dollars every year, but if you need to hire overseas, move there and work overseas yourself. We don't need to spend so much time on the phone trying to get someone that actually speaks English to help you. If people can't understand a word you are saying, customer service is not a job for you. If you want to hire overseas instead of hiring American, go make that other country your home.
Racism is ridiculous. Too many people are throwing the race card. Ridiculous. I don't care what color you are. If I tell you that you are an idiot, it has nothing to do with what color you are. It's because you are an idiot. If you think the world owes you because of the color of your skin or because of your beliefs, leave. It's that simple. If you want the world a better place, start yourself and start making the world a better place.
Parenting. I understand that many are working 1, 2 or 3 jobs. I know you are tired. I understand. But don't let your kids run around unsupervised. No one else wants to raise your kids for you. Having a child means putting them first and trying your best to make them a better person, having a better life than you do.
All right. I think I need to end my soap opera ranting now. I could go on and on but I just had to let things out. Try and have a good day and every day, do your best to make this world a better place.
