You’ve decided you are going to start blogging and have no idea how to go about creating regular VALUABLE content to share with your target audience. If you think you don’t know enough, rest assured there are people out there who know less than you and would gladly appreciate what you have to share. All content is based upon giving value.

What is deemed as valuable you may ask?

Anything that inspires, empowers, educates, entertains or helps people in anyway.

FREE

So what are the reasons for providing free content to your target market?

Traffic: your blog posts will attract new visitors to your site creating a compounding effect over time.

Social Media networks operate on the principle of ‘word of mouth’ the best form of advertising and the search engines love them

Your content will build highly leveraged relationships, rapport, trust, authority and credibility

It will establish you as a Leader in your niche

The emotional connection you will make by sharing a part of yourself will cause people to fall in love with who you are and the value you offer

Communication

Effective communication is one of the most important skills to develop as a network marketer. You need to be able to speak your target market’s language ‘meet them where they are at‘ so to speak. Big words and fancy jargon are not necessary. Just keep it simple and be clear, concise and personable. Speak to one person when you write, just as you would a friend.

If you are using video as a part of your content creation then be aware of your intentions as your energy and non-verbal communication will be captured on camera. Believe in yourself and have confidence in the message that you share.

Keep your content targeted to your market and share content that is centred around topics related to your products or services.

Value + Desire

If you are in the network marketing industry you could offer your target market

“10 Prospecting Tips To Build Your Network Marketing Business Online”

Your product could be an ebook, report or webinar about Prospecting. You have to make the offer emotionally compelling

Keep a note book handy so that you can jot down ideas for content as you go about your day, it could come from a movie, a book, inspirational quotes, an article you read online or a conversation you had with a friend. As you learn more about your area of expertise share it with your audience. Share stories, case studies, interviews, how to’s, strategies, reviews…the list is endless!

Read content from others within your niche, BetterNetworker.com is a great place to get ideas.

If you really want to serve your target audience then ask them directly what questions they have that you could provide a solution for.

Title

The title to your blog post has to ‘hook’ your reader to want to read more. If you are able to focus on benefits such as “25 Marketing Methods“, “Free Facebook Training: Famous in 60 Days” or “Get 25 Voicemails Daily. You could structure your titles using one of the following themes:

Curiosity: “The #1 Secret To Sponsoring

Educational: “How To Prospect On Twitter”

Question: “What the Heck Is MLM Momentum And How Do You Create It?“

Series: “The Heart Of Your Business, Creating Your Blog [Part Two]“

Direct Benefit: “Proven Way To Get 513 Laser-Targeted Leads”

Body

The opening sentences are your second hook. It is your opportunity to tell a story or outline a problem that you will be offering a solution to. Give the benefits by telling your reader what they are going to receive. Keep your content relevant to your topic, for example, if you are talking about Facebook offer a solution such as Free Facebook Training as a solution and NOT something on YouTube training. When you close, give a brief recap of what you have covered and give a clear call to action such as leave a comment below, share on Facebook or subscribe to your mailing list.

So you’ve figured out how to put together a great blog post full of compelling content…how often should you post?

If you want to build momentum FAST I would suggest taking massive action and post everyday! Once you have established yourself in the blogging-sphere you could reduce the amount to fit in with your schedule.

When you are consistently putting out valuable compelling content your community will grow through comments on your blog. Get to know your readers and respond to their comments.
