This card was definitely a collaborative effort.
I made several of these backgrounds and used a similar one on the card here. If you look at my previous post it shows you how to do this double stamped background (first white pigment ink them whatever color you want of dye ink --- the MISTI is really helpful here). Then I stamped the Altenew flowers and leaves. The smaller pink leaf part is colored with Copic markers. Then I stamped the sentiment.
So I had the elements and the background but I wasn't sure what to do with them! And I didn't know if the flowers would look to busy on top of this background. So I laid them down on the card and texted a photo of it to my friend Kathy Racoosin - the amazing and talented one, yea her. And of course she suggested those great touches that only she can do. First she said to pop the background off of the card base, which I did with some fun foam. I turned the card base inside out so that there is color on the inside (another Kathy touch). Then she said to do a double layer of foam tape under the flower and sentiment. Double? I never do that. Then she said curl the leaves -- so I did that! And voila! This card! It's those little dimensional touches that makes her work so amazing. And I am so blessed to be able to get help from my friend when I'm stuck. (I do this to Jennifer McGuire too -- ha!)
