How many Hip Hop Artists and Producers do you know that are influenced Bob Dylan, The Beatles, R. Kelly? How many Hip Hop Artists and Producers do you know that, when asked what their goals are between being Independent or Major, reply, “I would like to be Majorly Independent”?
I know of one Hip Hop Artist and Producer, just like that, who describes himself as a: “Musician – Poet – Artist. I Love Wild, Thin Mercury Sounds – All I can do is be me, whoever that is – Ancient Dreamer – Dapper Vagabond.
Ladies and gentleman, this diversely creative and finely tuned mind belongs to non-other than, Aaron Janx. The Orlando, FL-based artist and producer has just dropped the track “All Night Long”. But before we go any further, we need to stop and take a look at what Aaron Janx has in common with the following successful producers.

I could go on with this list, but the key thing is to check out the credits and who these Producers have been working with. You’ll agree that these artists are no newcomers to the game, with a string of hits that could circumvent the entire globe. The producers in question all have one thing in common with Aaron Janx – they all use FL STUDIO!
This proves, it’s not about the software or equipment a music producer uses, it’s about the skill level that has been developed by the music producer, to create a great song that brings on the magic. Aaron Janx displays that creative magic in his works, of which “All Night Long” is a perfect example.
To make his music, Aaron says: “I use a midi keyboard, FL Studio and a crappy H2 ZOOM Digital Recorder which serves as my mic.” The result is way above satisfying, as “All Night Long” is built upon layers of music, vocals, sounds and textures, which totally delight the ear. Sure better equipment may (and I use the conditional ‘may’) have improved the crispness and overall audio dynamics of the arrangement, but the creativity is all there already – and that’s what counts above all!
Aaron Janx tackles his musical projects with an open mind and it shines through all of his tracks, as his style crosses over many boundaries. Aaron raps, sings and produces his own music, I doubt that some ‘crappy’ equipment will seriously limit this dude!
