Nandi leaders were on Sunday up in arms following exposure of rituals through video clips taken in forests during youths circumcision ceremonies.

They criticised the International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, saying it was wrong to usevideo clips of the youths during the circumcision ceremony to imply that Deputy President William Ruto was preparing youths to start post-election violence in parts of Rift Valley.

The Nandi County government representatives have instructed lawyers from the community who are conversant with Nandi tradition and culture to file a case before the court and seek compensation in which they want Bensouda to be permanently barred from using video clips and pictures of youths undergoing the circumcision ritual.

County governor Cleophas Lagat, Senator Stephen Sang, MPs Julius Meli (Tindiret), Alfred ketter (Nandi Hills), Elijah lagat (Chesumei), Nandi Women representative resolved to have the ICC Prosecutor sued before the same ICC court where President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto are facing trial.
