Natives in Kenya drink water because of the Bishop T.D. Jakes Ministry, the mega pastor said on Sunday.
Bishop TD Jakes speaking on Sunday at Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas where his Ministry is based, made the comments as he made a scathing review about the reality show “Preachers of L.A.” . He was castigating the show for portraying preachers in a bad light.
Bishop Jakes also went further to say that “the” hospital in Nairobi also survives because of the work of his Ministry. There are a number of Hospitals in Nairobi and it was not clear which hospital he was referring to.
He made the remarks when he was emphasizing that his of Ministry gives back to the community and the less fortunate and it does not just rake in money from the church worshippers. Here is his exact quote:
“So let the work I’ve done speak for me. You are sowing into good ground. And the 300 families that are employed in this ministry eat from this ministry, work in this ministry, and help us to produce the excellence that we do. The natives all over Kenya drink water because of this ministry. And the hospital in Nairobi survives because of this ministry.”
In July 2012, Bishop Jakes tweeted a photo of what appeared to be crew starting a project.

MegaCARE Missions (MegaCARE) is the International Humanitarian Organization founded by T.D. Jakes that focuses on partnering with sponsors, different cultures and like-minded organizations to meet life threatening needs by transforming lives and empowering communities worldwide.
What started in South Dallas more than a decade ago has positively impacted regions of Belize, Bulgaria, Haiti, India, Guyana, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and various parts of the United States.
“Preachers of L.A.” a docu-series which is featuring on Oxygen’s debuted with one of the network’s highest ratings but that did not sway Bishop Jakes. He delivered a scathing criticism of the show in his sermon on Sunday. Here are some of the quotes:
“Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV. I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave
You did not buy what I got. I had it when I came here. You know I had it when I came here. The devil is a lie! I have sold enough books and produced enough movies. I don’t need your offering to pay for this little slimy suit. So I rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.”
