Dr. Clive Rayner and the staff at Oral-Facial Surgery of Orange Park strive to provide the highest standards of oral surgery and office anesthesiology, while treating patients with compassion and respect in a relaxed, comfortable, and safe environment. Dr. Rayner is board certified by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and has been in private practice in Orange Park for 25 years.
Dr. Rayner received his DMD from University of Florida and practiced general dentistry before returning to school to complete a fellowship in Anesthesiology at University Hospital in Jacksonville and then completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He is the founder, past president, and executive director of the Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Florida Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Anesthesia Committee of the Board of Dentistry.
Oral-Facial Surgery of Orange Park is an out-patient facility featuring state-of-the-art surgical and anesthesia technology including in-office CT scan, digital (low radiation) x-rays, and laser surgery. Dr. Rayner’s extensive training allows him to provide a full range of advanced sedation and anesthesia options from clinical hypnosis to conscious sedation to general anesthesia in the office. In fact, Oral-Facial Surgery of Orange Park is the only oral surgery facility in North Florida to offer advanced brain wave (BIS) monitoring during anesthesia to prevent awakening during anesthesia. Additionally, Dr. Rayner’s surgical staff includes an RN and certified anesthesia assistants.
Surgical services offered include dental extractions, wisdom teeth removal, TMJ treatment, jaw reconstruction, evaluation and treatment of facial pain, and treatment of diseases of the mouth. Dr. Rayner also specializes in dental implants utilizing state-of-the-art 3D imaging and computer treatment planning, minimally invasive CT guided surgery, “same day teeth,” and the latest technology in bone and gum preservation and regeneration, such as patient-derived growth factors to accelerate healing.
Knowing that patients are often apprehensive about surgery, Dr. Rayner and his staff spend time with each patient to fully educate and address their fears and concerns with a comprehensive initial examination and consultation. He has built his practice on the belief that each and every patient deserves personal attention and to have a comfortable and safe surgical experience. Dr. Rayner is dedicated to ongoing education and training in the latest advances in surgery, anesthesiology, and dentistry. In 2003 alone, he spent over 46 days (over 370 hours) in continuing education.
