Get smart about getting ready for college. Teton County Library offers free educational workshops to prepare for higher education with the library’s College Prep Coordinator Nick Grenoble.

In collaboration with Teton County School District and Jackson Hole High School, this winter and spring features more than fourteen workshops to help students in all stages of the college application process.

Winter workshops will highlight preparation for test season including simulated practice examines for the ACT or SAT and a weekly ACT Prep course. Other classes cover how to get the most out of college visits, how to maximize scholarships and financial aid, and how to prepare for final exams. A College Information Night and Alumni College Fair hosted by Jackson Hole High School will give students a chance to browse their prospects.

Grenoble estimates that local students who have taken library’s College Prep workshops have collectively earned more than $1 million in scholarships. Also, about 90% of these students were accepted to their “first-choice” schools.

Everyone is welcome to attend the workshops, especially students in Grades 9 to 12. Registration for practice exams and library events is required, please contact Nick at collegeprep@tclib.org, 307-733-2164 x258. Material is available in Spanish and English. Find an overview of the program at www.tclib.org/collegeprep.
