For the first time, the three Miss Universe beauties crowned for different years posed in one stage!
The three Filipina Miss Universe winners took the stage together at Okada Manila and Wurtzbach said she was absolutely nervous.
Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran and Pia Wurtzbach were the three Miss Universe beauties from the Philippines who fabulously posed together in one stage.
Diaz won the first Miss Universe crown in 1969, Moran in 1973 while Wurtzbach had it in 2015, a moment pageant fans have been waiting for as Pia ended the country’s 42-year drought in Miss Universe and on Saturday, it finally happened.
In an interview, Pia said, Para sa akin, silang dalawa pa rin ang pinaka-iconic,” Wurtzbach told the press.
Asked how she feels about joining them as veritable pageant royalty, she simply said, “I hope I did them proud.”
Even decades had passed after crowned as Miss Universe beauties, Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran were as fabulous as ever.
As stated, Diaz won the country’s first Miss Universe crown in 1969. Moran followed four years later, winning in 1973.
Wurtzbach won the title in 2015. She will be passing her crown at the 65th Miss Universe pageant night, to be held in the Mall of Asia Arena.
The 65th Miss Universe coronation event is live on GMA on January 30, beginning at 8 a.m.
