Allegedly reported, 2 women raped inside van by a driver of a colorum UV Express shuttle in Quezon City last week. Th e driver of the UV Express is now arrested by police.
The 2 women raped inside van were ages 22 and 27 and boarded the van in Quezon Avenue-EDSA last Friday night.
According to reports, the driver of the van and his accomplice declared a hold-up when they reached Batasan Hills, tied up the victims and took away their valuables. Then, the two men allegedly raped the victims alternately while driving around in Caloocan and Bulacan.
Afterwards, the 2 women raped inside van was dumped by the suspects still bound up, in Sauyo Road in Quezon City Saturday morning.
Accordingly, the van driver was identified by police as Wilfredo Lorenzo, through CCTV footage of his van in Caloocan and Sauyo Road.
Lorenzo was arrested by authorities while he was picking up passengers in Commonwealth Avenue on Monday. Wherein, a plasric sachet of suspected shabu was recovered from his van. The suspect also tested positive for using drugs.
The 2 women raped inside van positively identified him at Camp Caringal on Wednesday.
Thus, the two women and their family mobbed the suspect and had to be restrained by policemen.
The 2 women raped inside van has also appealed to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte to fulfill his promise of reinstating the death penalty for perpetrators of heinous crimes.
“President, kailangan namin ng tulong niyo. Wala nang dapat mabuhay na ganyan, maraming mabibiktima. Kaya kong manindigan, patayin niyo lang siya,” wailed one victim.
On the other hand, Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) chief Insp. Rodel Marcelo said police have release a cartographic sketch of Lorenzo’s accomplice, identified only as alias “Buddy”.
Marcelo also believes that the suspects may be behind other similar cases in the adjoining Makati City and Rizal province.
“We understand na sa ibang lugar din, sa Rizal, sa Makati, ganitong modus operandi rin yung ini-employ. May mga kaso tayo na unsolved na nanininiwala ako na ito yung may mga kagagagawan,” he said.
Base on reports, Lorenzo has been charged with rape, robbery and illegal possession of drugs.
