The area around Oxford Circus seems to be somewhere I inevitably pop to a few days a week.  As chaotic as it is, it's a great meeting point (even though 'outside Topshop' has a few different interpretations), has everything you need in the vicinity and can be escaped by hopping on the tube if it all gets too much.  If I'm honest, I probably prefer Regent Street a little more to it's crowded cousin. It's still busy, but slightly more manageable with COS, Anthropologie and & Other Stories nearby to soften the blow.  The buildings seem a little grander and with all of the Coronation paraphernalia and red double decker buses driving past, you truly appreciate that you're in one of the world's greatest cities.  On Saturday I took part in Regent Tweet, a sort of social treasure hunt for bloggers that has you checking in a various stores, taking part in activities and sometimes picking up a little treat.  Along with Carrie and Aisling, we navigated the best route to various places (my sense of direction is second to none), discovered a few new shops and successfully managed to dodge the rain that threatened to ruin the day.

My picks of the day probably have little relevance to my current lifestyle, but are still visually exciting nonetheless.  Jack Spade is a sort of 'husband' brand to Kate Spade and boasts the same, Pinterest worthy visual-merchandising style with every detail carefully considered.  The concept of the book lending library outside was unusual (especially because of imminent rain) but lovely nonetheless, proving that goodwill is still present in the world.  I thought I was pretty familiar with Liberty but have now realised that I probably know it as well as I do the V&A, where I still have a long list of rooms I haven't visited.  There is now an Outdoor Living section on the 4th floor with the prettiest horticultural goodies that make me wish I were more green-fingered.  A floral watering can anyone?  It was business as usual once I saw the sale on the 1st floor, with a lovely reduced Carven tee that wanted to come home with me, but luckily I managed to resist.  I have a (small) mental list of the bits I'd like to get in the sale and I'm trying my hardest not to deviate, despite all of the tweets and e-mails.

This outfit was brought to you with the help of flesh-coloured tights.  Knowing whether to wear hosiery or not during this crazy British climate is the bane of my life, anything coloured past May makes the prettiest dress seem a little heavy and woe betide I have to wear my trousers when I'm feeling in a leggy kind of mood.  My Mum recommended these M&S tights to me and at first, I thought the colour was a bit dark and that the curse of bad matching had struck again. Once they're on however, it's a different story and I was pleased to pretend that I had flawless legs for a day.  You might remember this dress from my sale shopping post, it was stalked for months before it finally went into the sales for a more realistic price and has since become one of my favourites to just chuck on without thinking.  These pictures were taken on nearby Heddon Street, with plenty of restaurants and cafes tucked away just in case you're stuck and need somewhere to eat.  We started with a muesli breakfast at Tibits complete with edible flower that seems like the perfect alternative to my usual bland bowl of Rice Pops.

Are you a Regent Street fan?  A good way of getting there quickly is to take the Argyll Street exit at Oxford Circus, turn left away from the smell of Chinese food and head right when you see Liberty.  The H&M store is one of my favourite branches due to the spacious feel plus you can't beat the Apple Store when your phone runs out of juice.  All it needs now is for the roadworks to be finished!
