Aston Martin is one of the premier automakers in the world, associating itself with names such as Carroll Shelby, Graham Hill, and James Bond. Now, Slightly Mad Studios has announced that the iconic British marque will be making its way to Project CARS. Seven Aston Martins, spanning five and a half decades, will make their way to Slightly Mad Studio’s racing title:

1959 Aston Martin DBR1

1963 Aston Martin DP212

2009 Aston Martin DBR1-2

2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT4

2013 Aston Martin Vantage V12 GT3

2013 Aston Martin Vantage GTE

2013 Aston Martin Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S

Some of the cars mark truly iconic points in the history of Aston Martin. You will be able to recreate their first 24H of Le Mans victory in the DBR1, and also drive the DP212 (only one was ever made!). Race in the modern Aston Martin Vantage GT race cars around the many circuits PCARS has to offer.

A unique car making its way to the game is the Aston Martin Rapide S Hydrogen Hybrid. It features both a 6-liter V12 engine and a hydrogen powerplant. It will be interesting to see how Project Cars implements the advanced technology into the title, to see if it will be an authentic experience.

WMD members will be able to test these Aston Martins in Project CARS as they are rolled out into development builds. They will also be able to follow every step of the development process of these cars via the WMD forums.

There is no comment as to if all seven cars will be in the base game content or if any will be held for DLC, but here’s to hoping that we’ll have a complete package once Project CARS drops this November!

Project CARS is now available for pre-order from major retailers. A Limited Edition will also be available, featuring a steel case, a behind-the-scenes book, and five legendary cars to be driven in any game mode. All pre-orders will receive  the “Modified Car Pack” which features three special cars that have been tuned for max performance.

Are you looking forward to Project CARS when it arrives this Fall? Let us know!
