Avalokana is a collection of reviews by eminent scholars on Mahasadhaka, a biography on the life of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Founder-Acharya of International Society for Krishna Consciousness). The collection of reviews was released on the 20th of November, 2016 at the Kannada Sahitya Parishat to a packed house.
The occasion was graced by Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, President, ISKCON Bangalore, Sri Chanchalapathi Dasa, Vice-President, ISKCON Bangalore, Dr Kamala Hampana (although an atheist is inspired to know more about Srila Prabhupada’s philosophy), Sri M N Vyasa Rao, Prof. G. Venkatasubbaiah, Dr. Babu Krishnamurthy and Prof. Padma Shekar, Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka Samskrit University and other eminent personalities were present at the release of this book.
The book Mahasadhaka is in the form of a novel written by Dr. Babu Krishnamurthy, an accomplished author of several books in Kannada. The author has earned a doctorate in literature and has also received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his book Ajeya, a biography of Chandrashekar Azad.
