CONCERT: The final HS concert of the year will be next Wednesday at 6:30pm. Come see the choir, band, jazz band, a cappella ensemble, and IB music students perform some excellent music.

IMUN: Meeting is today, Thursday after school to discuss logistics and to start planning.

Basketball Players Meeting: All players interested in trying out, meet in the MPR 2 during lunch today, Thursday. Open gym from 3:30.

ISSEA Golf Team Meeting: Today, Thursday during Lunch. Golfers meet at 1150 in MPR 3. 

TedEx conference: On this Saturday, November 16th, Brookhouse School is hosting a TedEx conference that will feature several amazing speakers. ISK can take a team of 10 students to this event. Please sign up with Angela in the IB office by Wednesday at lunch if you would like to go. There is no cost and this is an awesome opportunity.

Reminder-Group 4 project presentations are this Saturday, Nov. 16, from 8:30-12:00: Please make sure your blogs are up to date. We will expect completed reflections on the entire process by November 21st. HS Science Department.

CASL: GRADE 9/10 students should ensure their CASL program planners and blogs are completed and attached to the school CASL site as semester one reports will reflect this. Please see your advisor, Mr Corum in HS computer lab or Ms Redler for assistance.

ISK's High School's fall production 'Our Town' is upon us: The students have been working hard all semester preparing for this performance - please come and support them. Performance dates: Thursday, Friday & Saturday, November 14, 15 & 16. Performance time: 6pm. Location: ISK auditorium. Price: 250 ksh for students and staff, 400 ksh adults. Sammy will be selling tickets in advance in the Arts building foyer, and tickets will also be sold at the door. Thanks for your support and I hope to see you all there!

Grade 10 and 11 students! ISK will be offering an SAT preparation course from mid-November to end of April 2014.  Strategies for all sections of the SAT (Reading, Writing, Math) will be covered, including vocabulary, grammar and math reviews, and how to write the SAT Essay. Classes will meet once a week, Thursdays after school, 3:30 – 4:45 pm, and there will also be 4 mandatory Saturday morning practice tests as well as weekly homework. The cost is 800 USD; this includes all test prep materials, a vocabulary booklet, and fully worked out answers to all practice tests. The course will be taught by Dr. Min Ku, an ISK parent who taught this course the last two years. The first class will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 after school, and the first Saturday morning diagnostic SAT test will be Saturday, November 16, from 9am to 1 pm.
