Farmhouse Creative received the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce 2014 Spirit of Small Business Award.

Farmhouse Creative started in Angie Rogers-Howell’s farmhouse with no clients and only Angie’s final paycheck to fund the business. Fast-forward two years… Farmhouse Creative experienced two major expansions and is thriving. As a tenant in the Innovation Connector and active member of the business community, Angie knew East Central ISBDC Regional Director Peggy Cenova. When she was looking for help and advice to start Farmhouse Creative, Angie turned to the East Central ISBDC.

“The East Central ISBDC really helped me to be accountable with my goals,” Angie noted. “Peggy and I continue to meet monthly, going through what my plans are and deciding on actionable steps.”

Farmhouse Creative began offering the web design services of Matt Howell, Angie’s husband, in March of 2014. The business also acquired Printing Creations of Yorktown following the retirement Carolyn (Buffy) Grieves, that company’s owner.

“I’ve enjoyed working with Angie, and remember talking with her prior to her launch,” said Peggy. “She took advantage of a software tool we offer to find her initial target market list. From this small beginning, her customer list has flourished.”

Farmhouse Creative has a passion for the community and helping small businesses. Angie serves as chair of the Athena and Catalyst awards for Women in Business Unlimited (WIBU), while Matt is a founding member of the East Central Indiana Social Media Group and continues to serve as a facilitator for the group’s monthly events.

“We want our clients to succeed. We will work with them as much as we can and hope that those efforts pay off for them,” Angie said.
