Fresh from the New Heineken Bottle Launch Party back a couple of months (Ferry Corsten @ The New Heineken Bottle Launch Party), Heineken launched the first leg of the Heineken Progressive Tour x Juice over at Mansion 32 in Penang last night. Over the next few months we will see the party move on to Barroom, Ipoh and Lost Malaya, Johor Bahru. I so happened to be in Penang during the weekend and dropped by to check out last night.

Green themed the whole night
Together with Juice magazine, Heineken hosted the party with limited free flow of Heineken beers on a saturday night which saw a rather huge turnout of penangites over at Mansion 32. Now Mansion 32 is actually this fine dining restaurant on any other day, so for me to see it being transformed into a clubbing spot is rather cool to say the least.

Reaching the venue at just past 9pm, it was pretty good night, with a cool sea breeze coming in as the location was just by the sea. The crowd was trickling in with some bouncers from RELA handling the security with their no-nonsense face.

Together with a couple of penang friends, we were all ready for a good
night out, grabbing onto as many bottles of Heineken as we could while
it lasted. The free flow ended quite early though, which was a tad
disappointing, but the music continued on which was good.

Throughout the night, we saw a line-up of DJs spinning the music, namely DJ Phil K Lee, Deer Society, DJ Darling Sabrina and Twilight Actiongirl. halfway through Joey G came out for a short Heineken New Bottle Launch presentation on the screen. It wasn't really new to me though as I have been to the grand launch in KL a couple of months back, and that was awesome.

Of course, I wasn't there just for the Heineken beers. I was there for the company as well. It was a great feeling being able to catch up with fellow Penang bloggers and friends as we shouted to each other over the loud music.

You know clubbing, you can't really talk due to the booming music, but the great thing about clubbing at Mansion 32 was that they had a really nice garden outside so we could actually just walk out with our bottle of beer and chill.

Overall it was a good night out, one which I was happy to be able to attend.
