Hard Rock Hotel Penang, a perfect spot to run off to over the weekend in Penang Island for a much needed rest and relaxation. This was my second time staying over at their Seaview Deluxe Room, and I must say, the view itself took my breath away again. The iconic Hard Rock logo created with chandelier-like lighting hover over the entrance of the vibrant lobby, accompanied by music all around. Read about my first time experience a couple of months back here. (First Hand Experience @ Hard Rock Hotel Penang)

Hard Rock Hotel Penang
"Hard Rock Hotel Penang will be one of the most sought after vacations in Penang. We define modern and stylish beach resorts with all the unexpected attributes for each of our guest to experience a lifestyle that is over the top. Our differentiator is the amplifier and it rocks," said John Primmer, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Penang.

I could not have agreed more about the "over the top" lifestyle treatment, as from the moment we arrived at the lobbyand throughout our 3D2N stay, we were treated and pampered like rockstars, literally. The 6-storey hotel boasts of 250 tricked out rooms and suites, mostly with absolute beach frontage. The modern exterior structure is completed with tastefully furnished bedrooms, such as their unique guest bathrooms and modern in-room amenities.
Our seaview deluxe room at Hard Rock Hotel
Like the last time, I was pretty impressed with the simple yet complete modern chic look of the room. Technology does play a significant feature at the hotel. All rooms feature new technology and are fully equipped with DVD/CD players, 32 inch LCD TVs, iPod docking stations, complimentary WI-Fi and wired connectivity with interactive TVs. We even had some apples and a complimentary drink at their bar below.

Over the 3 days of my stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang, we did have loads of food from their various restaurants, the Hard Rock Cafe, Starz Diner, as well as the Pizzeria. I will be covering each of the restaurants in more detail in my subsequent posts. This writeup will focus more on the hotel stay as well as its amenities and facilities.
The rather huge 26000 sq ft free form swimming pool of Hard Rock Hotel
If you're already living like a rockstar at Hard Rock Hotel Penang, be sure to take a dip and swim to your heart's content at their magnificent 26000 sq ft free-form swimming pool, the largest swimming pool in Penang. Located at the beach front, we made it a point to walk down on the beach itself enjoying the tranquility of the waves crashing in. In fact I managed to capture the sunset on the first evening of our stay there.

One of the privilege we had as guests of the hotel was the chance to enjoy their Rock Spa. The full service luxury spa offers rock spa massages, facials and other treatments housed in this nice looking hut. You could eitehr choose to have the massages done inside, or outside, and the atmosphere was relaxing indeed.
Rock Spa @ Hard Rock Hotel Penang
Taking advantage of Rock Spa's complimentary foot and neck massage, I let my parents have a go as they have not enjoyed these at the hotel before. Opened daily from 9am to 9pm, the rock spa was a favourite of the hotel guests. Needless to say, my parents enjoyed the massage, with only one small mention from my father that the lady did not press hard enough. All was good though.

Overall it was a memorable stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. True to it's rock theme, do come over this hotel if you want a unique rock star experience. The hotel rates for the Raya period began from RM370++ for the hillside deluxe rooms, which isn't really too pricey compared to my first time over here during my birthday last year which I had to fork out close to RM1k due to the year end holidays, last minute and all. Wait up for my upcoming posts on Hard Rock Hotel's various restaurants.
