**Responsibilities:**
Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) business line provides highly secure, compliant and resilient data center colocation services to enterprise customers in regulated industries. IMDC is a strategic, emerging business opportunity for Iron Mountain with rapid growth expectations. IMDC is building out a specialized application stack for differentiated colocation services with RFID based asset tracking integrated into DCIM customer portal.
The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for administering the IMDC application infrastructure stack with a focus on supporting secure multi-tenancy. Experience within the data center colocation industry, carrier networking operations, or related IT service provider operations is required. This candidate must have strong self-organization skills, and must maintain good documentation and procedural discipline. Willingness to work hard, play hard and collaborate constructively with IMDC Operations, Network and Product team.
* Build, deploy, administer and maintain the
application infrastructure stack to support IMDC colocation products.
* Implement procedures and standards for operation
and maintenance of existing infrastructure; and deployment of new
infrastructure. Support audits to achieve and maintain compliance certifications.
Partner with Corporate IT staff on best practices and standards as applicable.
* Collaborate with Operations, Network and Product
teams on process improvement efforts; provide input into product roadmap and
support budget planning; participate in customer facing interactions (pre/post
sales) as requested
**Qualifications:**
* High energy, “Can do” work ethic; Great sense of humor – willing to work hard and have fun
* Min 5 years working experience with multi-tiered applications running on VMware vSphere; Admin experience managing multiple data centers, clusters, hosts; Advanced VMware ESX/ESXi 5.x+; Microsoft and/or VCP certifications preferred
* Expert Active Directory Domain administration, GPO/OU and permission support; Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Group Policy to secure and configure systems, automate tasks and package deployment within the Windows environment
* Extensive knowledge and experience in maintaining and administering Windows OS (2008 R2/2012), Exchange 2010 EWS, MS SQL Server, Active Directory design
* Monitoring experience in Windows System Center Operations Manager (SCOM); Demonstrated experience using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for OS deployment, patch management, software distribution and HW/SW inventory
* DNS administration and configuration, and DHCP administration and configuration; Familiar with IIS configuration and troubleshooting; Advanced Citrix XenApp
* Strong background in storage configurations (NFS, Fibre channel, iSCSI) and backup and recovery/DR/business continuity solutions
* Familiar with database technologies (Oracle, SQL, MySQL)
* Linux experience a plus
