**Responsibilities:**

This role is responsible for developing, executing and measuring strategies that strengthen the connection internal and external stakeholders have with Iron Mountain’s brand globally. He/she will design brand strategiesand execute a brand communication plan across all channelsto meet the needs of different international markets. The function will promote consistency at all brand touch points; define and standardize both the brand’s visual identity and its story; serve as a central resource for brand-related information and coordination; and identify the key performance indicators that measure brand awareness, perception and engagement.

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating an internal team of copywriters and designers in the Creative Services function. Responsibilities include managing creative projects from concept to completion, translating Iron Mountain’s marketing objectives into creative strategies and directing the creative team in the production of online and traditional advertising, digital media, social media branding, and marketing collateral. This position is responsible for the quality and timely delivery of creative projects.

**Brand Strategy development**

* Evolve, maintain and evangelize foundational brand elements including: visual identity standards, logo usage guidelines, product naming conventions and co-branding policies.
* Ensure a consistent global brand identity by creating tools and resources for employees and creative agencies around the world, and by actively engaging and supporting marketing and communications teams.
* Leverage and manage Iron Mountain’s key brand assets including, but not limited to boxes, facilities and vehicles.
* Conduct periodic market survey research to understand brand awareness and preference, and ultimately brand equity.
* Support the roll-out and implementation of the Iron Mountain brand to new geographies as the company expands on a world-wide basis.
* Manage the product/service naming process
* Consult on brand consistency across customer facing software and other digital touch points which shape the customer experience
* Manage brand consistency of marketing messaging on Iron Mountain public websites

**Brand Compliance Management**

* Ensure compliance of creative material to all brand elements including corporate and visual identity and brand value proposition
* Provide quality control over concepts and projects to ensure brand consistency

**Creative Guidance and Execution**

* Provide leadership for all creative development processes
* Manage concepts, oversee and fulfil copywriting responsibilities, and lead all creative development processes and executions
* Responsible for the quality assurance and for providing guidance within creative process
* Manage multiple projects from concept through to completion
* Oversee and manage the development and presentation of comprehensive (multimedia) creative strategies as per clients brief
* Provide full costing , production and delivery schedules
* Lead creative sessions for projects
* Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that are in line with the brand strategy

**Supplier Management**

* Recruit and manage third party design and related firms as well as internal design resources.
* Develop, maintain and manage critical supplier relationships

**Team Management**

* Supervise and inspire the creative team
* Develop new and improve existing systems and processes to work effectively
* Oversee all creative projects (responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the Creative Services function)
* Ensure that the right talent is appointed.
* Manage staff performance, training and development.

**Qualifications:**

Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

* Proven record of establishing corporate brand strategies and running brand functions within global organizations.
* Aptitude for managing programs and influencing people and outcomes outside of direct management.
* Demonstrated ability to build and present compelling business cases to executive management teams.
* Thorough understanding of emerging social and digital technologies
* Experience directing and managing agency and/or consultant relationships.
* Experienced team leader who is accomplished at setting performance targets
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Highly self-directed with the ability to immediately add value
* Requires strong program leadership in gaining alignment for brand enhancing programs.
* Must establish expert credibility, serve in an advisory capacity, and have the confidence to handle and manage push-back.
* Strong working knowledge of language, copywriting and graphics and design fundamentals
* Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing
* Relationship building is a critical success factor for this role.
* Must have experience dealing on an international level
* Must be able to navigate and manage through a highly matrixed organization.
* Travel Requirements: 5-10%
