GMP Syntheses of Peptide APIs including CTD
GMP Production process and repeated experience is readily available to supply the following peptide APIs including all documentation necessary for registration:
Eledoisin
Eledoisin is an undecapeptide of mollusk origin, belonging to the tachykinin family of neuropeptides. These peptides exhibit a wide and complex spectrum of pharmacological and physiological activities such as vasodilation, hypertension, and stimulation of extravascular smooth muscle. Due to Eledoisin’s strong influence on tear volume and tear flow it has a broad potential in Ophthalmology. Formulation know how for eye drop production with this API is also available.
Biostatin, TT-232
TT-232 is a structural analogue of somatostatin, a hormone with significant, selective antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory and antisecretory properties. In contrast to the parent hormone and its “traditional” analogues, this compound has strong and specific growth-inhibitory potential without the wide-ranging endocrine side-effects, including inhibition of insulin secretion provoking diabetes. Its mechanism of action is in line with a new era of molecular medicine called signal-transduction therapy, where "internal communication" of cells is corrected without interfering with basic cell functions and machinery.
Sandostatin/Octreotide
Octreotide is an octapeptide that mimics natural somatostatin pharmacologically, though it is a more potent inhibitor of growth hormone, glucagon, and insulin than the natural hormone. It is approved as an injectable depot formulation for the treatment of acromegaly, gigantism, thyrotropinoma, diarrhea and flushing episodes associated with carcinoid syndrome, and diarrhea in patients with vasoactive intestinal peptide-secreting tumors (VIPomas).
LHRH and Analogues like Alarelin, Leuprorelin, Goserelin, Buserelin and Triptorelin
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), also known as Luteinizing-hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) and luliberin, is a trophic peptide hormone responsible for the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary. This group of peptides are used in the treatment of breast and prostate cancer and precocious puberty, estrogen-dependent conditions (such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids).
There is specific know-how available for microencapsulation of these peptides.
Thymosin-α1, including fragments, and bis-Thymosin-α1 / Twin-α1
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), also known as Luteinizing-hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) and luliberin, is a trophic peptide hormone responsible for the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the anterior pituitary. This group of peptides are used in the treatment of breast and prostate cancer and precocious puberty, estrogen-dependent conditions (such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids). There is a still unused potential for strategies to prevent opportunistic infections after chemo- and radiation therapy and for applications in wound healing and skin care.
Urodilatin
Urodilatin is a hormone that causes diuresis through increasing renal blood flow. It is important in oliguric patients as it lowers serum creatinine and increases urine output. Because of its blood pressure regulating property it is used during heart operations.
Pentagastrin
Pentagastrin has effects like gastrin when given parenterally. It stimulates the secretion of gastric acid, pepsin, and intrinsic factor, and has been used as a diagnostic aid in the pentagastrin-stimulated calcitonin test. It is in clinical trials for cancer treatment (ulcus ventriculi).
RGD Cyclopentapeptides
Cyclic RGD cyclopentapeptides are a new class of receptor interacting substances (neuropilin-1 and others) within the field of tissue and cell penetrating applications.

Custom Synthesis of Peptide Toxins
from Bee, Cone, Snakes, Scorpions
Approximately 500 different kinds of cone snails, snakes, spiders, and scorpions produce a set of 50 to 200 different toxins each. Over all more than 100 000 different toxins Mother Nature has developed over the last several thousands of years of evolution. Animals stun prey by injecting a complex mixture of peptide neurotoxins which block a diverse array of ion channels and neuronal receptors.
Toxins are of intense scientific interest due to their extremely high specificy and efficacy towards specific binding sites. Ziconotide (cone toxin) already is on the market for treating patients suffering from strong chronic pain.

NProO Building Blocks for fast and efficient synthesis of γ-turns in peptides
Any amino acid can be functionalized on the N-terminus with oxalic acid and on the C-terminus with hydrazine, in order to form a so-called NXO building block. Through this double modification N and C terminus will be inverted, which provides interesting structural options for peptidomimetics. Additionally this mimic shows acceptor–donor pattern of a natural tripeptide and, furthermore, NXO modification can impart conformational constraints on the peptide sequence to give new pseudo peptides selectively adopting predictable secondary structures. NXO building blocks can be easily integrated into peptide fragments using both conventional liquid phase peptide synthesis and solid supported synthesis protocols.
Formation of γ-turns may initiate formation of β-sheets in protein folding. Like proline, which is placed at this position in natural proteins, NXO-proline can be used introducing in one step already two positions for hydrogen bond formation, which are essential to form the turn.
