Hello World!
Just wanted to say that this is my very first blog entry for IPB and instead of filling this all in with some dummy text, how about I talk about something useful... that many people have requested it here for IPB and nothing has been released... yet
I've been working with web developement for years and and for a majority of it, I've always been working on a lot of custom work that I'd always call "my own" but times change, I sorta got out of the online gaming market and joined the military, settled down with a wife, a daughter, a house.... bills and so on. I quit many of my projects... and many had so much potential
I had a really nice stats plugin for TF2 game servers and a very very sleek web interface to boot. It was integrated with PHPBB where the users profiles would show on the stats interface (and viewed live on the game server) and vice versa. Stat's would show up on the users profile's. Server donations from the website would automatically add them to the game servers as donators, you get the picture...
Well, I'm getting back into the gaming scene and created another fancy, sexy little site a site that'd call "Corporate-Playful" since it's professional yet inviting for gamers. This couldn't be achieved without the coding abilities of Bitter of course. He changed nearly every single element of IPB for me to match the skin that I've done and I can't thank him enough. You can see a small preview of it attached.
--- Anyways, to the important stuff, I've been playing a lot of SC2, League of Legends and similar games and have always enjoyed watching streams. Well, that seems one of the most popular feature on many websites, especially to gain that 'professionalism' but no one really knows how many sites like TeamLiquid or Solomid's and even CLG's websites are doing those livestreams.
I do and with that said, I'm going to recreate it for everyone and release it to the public, well IPB anyways haha. But I need your help with this, what do you want to see most in this app? What about feature requests down the road, what about integration with IPB vs's using it as a template for IP.Content?
Comment and let me know your thoughts and follow my updates, we'll be going around for some spins
