Football fans simply can’t wait to get their hands on the newest installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series, PES 2016. Set to be released on September 15th, its publisher, KONAMI, recently announced its exclusive partnership with the Flamengo club of Brazil. Through this exclusive game license agreement, players are now able to play matches at the iconic Maracanã Stadium through a DLC update that will be released later this year, aside from them being able to play their favorite Flamengo players.
In a press release, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.’s Brand Director of Football, Erik Bladinieres, stated that the exclusive partnership “truly reflects the integrity of this epic game so that fans, especially in Brazil, can be excited to play their favorite teams in one of the biggest and most iconic stadiums in the world – Maracanã.”
24 BRAZILIAN TEAMS IN ITS ROSTER!
A total of 24 Brazilian teams will also be featured in PES 2016, 20 of which are from the “Série A” (Campeonato Brasileiro Série A), and four from the “Série B”. The “Serie A” teams include: Corinthians, Atletico-MG, Grêmio, Fluminense, Palmeiras, São Paulo FC, Sport, Atlético-PR, Chapecoense, Ponte Preta, Internacional, Santos FC, C.R. Flamengo, Cruzeiro, Figueirense, Avaí FC, Goáis, Coritiba, Joinville and Vasco da Gama. The “Série B” teams, on the other hand, include: Bahia, Vitória, Botafogo and Criciúma.
