As the first ever Amara Interior Blog Awards draws ever closer we thought we’d start some weekly updates. Here we will let you know what we’ve all been working hard on during the run up to the big event and we can also share with you some of our favourite blog posts our shortlisters have published this week.

In less than three weeks we will be accompanied by some of the finest bloggers in the country in the Rosewood London‘s Mirror Room, this means we need to create some of the best goodie bags the world of blog awards has seen. On the night there will be two types of goodie bags for you to go home with, one for the winners and another for everyone else. These will both be filled with some of the best homeware and fashion items we could find. This week we’ve had deliveries from our lovely sponsors Hotel Chocolat and Reiss plus special deliveries all the way from Italy and The Netherlands from Missoni Home and Fatboy.

As well as sourcing goodie bag treats, this week Samantha and Graphic Designer Adam have been arranging the step and repeat boards for the night. These will form the perfect paparazzi backdrops on the night so you can all feel like superstars when uploading all your blogger selfies to Instagram. If you’re not one for taking selfies our Amara photographers Sue and Mirka will be there on the night capturing all the excitement, these photos will then be uploaded the next day to the IBAs site for you to love and share.

Although this year’s interior blog awards are not over yet, we can officially say work for 2015 has already begun. This means everyone that didn’t make the shortlist this year has another chance of getting their hands on one of our gorgeous William Yoward Crystal trophies. Samantha and Karen have been researching some of the most exclusive venues in London this week in order to find yet another perfect location for next year’s awards.

Whilst all these busy preparations have been going on, we have still had time to have a read through all of our shortlisters’ blog posts from the week. Here are our top eight posts for this week:

Suffolk Food Hall- Local Inspiration by LucyLovesYa
Brassino Cafe, Kentish Town Road NW1 by London Shop Fronts
My Grand Designs Live Adventure by Trying to Balance the Madness
Timelapse: A photo shoot in 1.31 seconds by My Interior Stylist
Styling the seasons by cate st.hill
A handmade Christmas with Laura Ashley by Torie Jayne
Halloween Ghost Garland by AO at Home
Styling and Decorating a small apartment by Happy Interiors Blog

Elsewhere on the internet there is also some amazing interior based content, here are a few of our favourites from the week:

This post from Telegraph Luxury features some crazy architecture and wacky hotel ideas. Can you imagine what it would be like staying in a floating snowflake?

With geometric prints right on trend right now we can see why Kate Watson Smyth from Mad About The House chose this space as one of her 10 beautiful rooms this week.

This post on Apartment Therapy has really given us our colour fix this week. Who would have known tassels could be so exciting!

Lastly, we just wanted to say we were thrilled to hear this week that Best International Blog Award shortlister Bijou and Boheme‘s Christine Dovey will be joining us at the awards all the way from Canada, how exciting!

Have a good weekend everyone and we’ll speak to you next week with more exciting updates!
