HEG recruits Havas Media’s, Managing Partner, Strategy as its first Group CMO to work across all HEG brands across Europe

HEG is today announcing the appointment of Kate Cox, Havas Media’s Managing Partner, Strategy, to the new board role of the first Group CMO across all of its European brands. Cox will oversee the group’s marketing output across all brands, introducing a new customer benefit led approach.

The largest privately owned hosting company in Europe, HEG has over 1.7 million customers and is the biggest domain registrar in the UK. It offers a wide range of digital services such as website building templates, email marketing solutions and SEO services to suit individual consumers, small and medium sized business, web designers and resellers. Cox joins the board of HEG reporting to Patrick Pulvermüller, Group CEO of HEG and will work alongside Andreas Palm, CEO of Mass Hosting, Thomas Strohe, CEO of Managed Hosting and Tamara Besson, Group HR director.

Cox joins from Havas Media where, in her role as Managing Partner, Strategy, she was heavily focused on finding the best ways of integrating traditional and new communication channels, ideas and opportunities in the most financially effective way.  As Havas Media’s Meaningful Brands champion, Cox has worked with global business thinkers in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability to drive through Havas’s Meaningful Brands research initiative to the UK audience since 2010. Her campaigns have won the Grand Prix at Eurobest and Campaign Media Awards, alongside recognition at Media Cristal, M&M Europe, Media Week, Marketing Week Engage and the IPA Effectiveness awards.

Cox will begin working at HEG from Monday, 13th April 2015.
