Host Europe Group is a rapidly expanding web hosting provider, with an eye on being the number 1 in Europe. The new and challenging role of Group Head of PR & Communications will play a pivotal part in supporting the Group’s rapid growth plans – through developing and implementing the business wide communications strategy – to include all PR and media activities.
Reputation management plays a key part in this role and you will be required to enhance the Groups’ media profile through regular external interaction with key stakeholders and the media. You will also be required to manage internal communications across the Group. You will ensure maximum coverage across all forms of media and have extensive experience in leveraging positive exposure online. The successful applicant will be adept at positioning a medium to large company and have a proven track record of managing the corporate profile of such an organisation. Strong links to the City/financial press and experience within the technology sector will help the ideal candidate stand out. You’ll have a talent for spotting and realising media opportunities and the skills to handle sensitive PR issues.
Host Europe Group has a substantial presence in the UK and across Europe. As such we are looking for a PR professional with experience of working across numerous countries, and applicants with experience of working in Germany would be of particular interest.
We are looking for a passionate creative PR professional with around 10 years’ experience, ideally from a technology or internet environment; however applicants from outside of these sectors are encouraged to apply if they meet the key criteria for this role. You will have some understanding of corporate governance and be able to demonstrate success through managing media relations. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a pre-requisite for the role, and we are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and creative stamina. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and growing relationships with market contacts, and will be able to seek out new and innovative ways to create interest in niche products, making them attractive and relevant to a mass market.
