You can make money with your blog if you really want. Yes you heard me very well! I am not exaggerating, because I know it is very much possible. Setting up a blog these days is so easy; because anybody can set up a blog on virtually any topic. It is not setting up one that is the problem, but how to make money with your blog.
The reason the type of blog you set up really matters is because it is the sole factor that would eventually determine how much you make in the long run. One can do blogging on niches like health, sports, web design, fitness, beauty, bloggingtips, relationship, etc. but these niches won’t make you equal amount of money online. It therefore means you have to be selective of the type of niche to promote. Forget about the hypes you hear about making money with virtually anything.
For instance, if you choose to go into bloggingtips, be rest assured that the higher percentage of people that would be attracted to your site are bloggers. Most of the times, it is the newbie bloggers that would dominate your traffic because the probloggers are already made, and may hardly come to get tips or advice from you, let alone buying your products.

From my experience as a writer, I have come to realize that bloggers who have the experience of web design are making a kill online. Just go to any site that offers paid-to-write services and see the set of people that are paid the highest fee to write tutorials. They are web designers. While the ordinary bloggers (on blogging, make money, sports, etc) are receiving $3-$20 per article, the web designers are receiving from $50-$200 per article. While don’t you focus on this niche and make pure gold from here?
You don’t know how to design?
You can still set up your business around here and get professional hands from places like fiverr.com, tenbux.com, dollar3.com, easyoutsource.com (with Philippinos) to do the job for you. In this case, you get the contracts at a higher rate and pay peanuts to get them done and you end up making good profit. Better still, you need to learn web design yourself. A lot of people are waiting out there to hire you to design their business websites and blogs.
2. Coding/Programming:
Do you know that it is not the outer beauty that makes a website tick?
It is the quality of coding or programming that drives a website. The script upon which the website is run is the engine power or hub of that site. This is the reason why, like the web designers, coders and programmers are earning fat with their blogs and websites online. So building your blog in the area that delivers coding or programming services would make you an internet millionaire in no distant time.

So be a content writer and earn cool cash. Make sure to develop yourself before delving into this niche so that competition would not get you frustrated.

Use your blog to organize a special course that should be subscribed for. All subscribers have to pay either monthly or yearly. Make sure to deliver quality materials to your students to ensure they keep renewing their subscription. So long as their subscriptions are renewed, money would always be in your pocket. You can teach them content marketing, blogging, freelancing, e-book writing, web design and programming, etc.

It is a way of generating a steady stream of income online. Every website owner must keep paying for web hosting so long as he wants his site to be up.
