ACCA syllabus at a glance

The ACCA qualification is divided in two levels, Fundamentals and Professional. The Fundamentals level has all together 9 papers in total. The 9 papers come under two modules, Knowledge and skills.

Professional Level

The professional level comprises of all together 5 papers in total out of which three papers are in Essential module. And from optional module, you need to clear two papers.

Options (two to be completed)

P4: Advanced Financial Management

P5: Advanced Performance Management

P6: Advanced Taxation

The minimum pass marks for both Fundamental and Professional level is 50%. The exams are held in June and December every year.

ACCA Exemptions

ACCA offers exemptions to students who have studied other significant qualifications. This means you can begin your ACCA courses in Dubai at a level which matches with the knowledge and skills acquired from your previous learning. Also if you have gained any additional qualification after enrolling in ACCA, you can claim for further exemptions.

A student can be awarded an exemption of maximum nine papers at the Fundamental level of the ACCA qualification. ACCA does not provide any exemption at the professional level. Also no exemption is offered on the criteria of work experience.
