Greetings Community,

This week I’ve been working on my T3 homework, including leading my first couple circles. Being the facilitator is a very different experience from being a participant. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m finding it easier than I thought it would be, probably because I’ve absorbed so much authentic relating lingo through working here, but I have plenty of room for improvement. For me T3 is an opportunity to rigorously practice my facilitation skills. I’m pushing my edge of holding a tight container, pausing and redirecting people more often. I plan to come to more Circling Labs to practice. I hope to see you there!

In This Issue:

Josh Zemel shares his opinion of what authenticity really is in a video from RLS.

Danny and Harmony will be leading Game Night next week with a theme of Wisdom, Love, and Power.

Lama Surya Das will be giving a full-day workshop here on Saturday, March 18th.

There’s a lot of great events so look at our online calendar for more info and any last minute changes.

The Myth of Authenticity

integralcenter.org/the-myth-of-authenticity

The word Authenticity gets thrown around a lot these days. While it speaks to the heart of what so many people are longing for, it also carries its share of (often annoying) baggage.

What are the pitfalls of emphasizing practices on authenticity?

How many people have a clear understanding of the term?

In his Relational Leadership Summit presentation, Integral Center Course Leader Josh Zemel helps us in this inquiry by sharing his opinions and allergies around how people use the word ‘Authenticity’. Josh then goes on to share his personal stories and inspirations around discovering real connection, and a simple & and useful definition for how to relate to this trendy term.

Game Night ~ Wisdom, Love, and Power with Danny and Harmony

Thursday March 9th 7:00pm-9:00pm in the Chapel

Join Danny Morris and Harmony Kwiker As we explore our Wisdom, Love and Power.

Can we be in our wisdom and let go of any and all perspectives? Seeing each other exactly as we are with out our projections.

Can we be in our power? Standing for our truth, embodying and speaking what is true and authentic.

Can we be in our love? Dropping our own perspective to get the world of another. Appreciating, and loving them as they are.

Where is our comfort zone, and where is our edge? What is the relationship between the balance of these ways of being? Join us for this games night to find our and reveal something new about how you show up in your wisdom, love and power.

Dzogchen Intensive with Lama Surya Das

Saturday March 18th 9:00am – 5:00pm in the Chapel

A DAY IN THE NATURAL GREAT PERFECTION

We are all Buddhas by nature—we have only to awaken to that fact. The direct-access Dzogchen heart-essence wisdom tradition of Tibet teaches us to awaken just as we are and enjoy the infinite possibilities of every moment, the Holy Now, to become heroic masters, rather than victims of constant change.

At the very heart of this tradition is direct introduction to the nature of mind—our true Self.

The Dalai Lama affectionately calls him “The American Lama.” Lama Surya Das is a pioneer in bringing the profound spirituality of Tibet into the west. He is the author of Awakening the Buddha Within: Eight Steps To Enlightenment and 13 other books.

Lama Surya has spent over 45 years studying with the great masters of Asia. He is an authorized lama in the Nyingmapa School of Tibetan Buddhism and a close personal disciple of the grand lamas of that tradition, including the Dalai Lama’s own teachers.

With direction guidance, liveliness, and humor Lama Surya guides us into the essence of the awakened teaching and practice that takes us beyond our illusions of duality, separateness, and loneliness.
