A distinctive Safari destination in Africa, Rwanda is mainly famous for being one of the few countries in which the endangered mountains can still be found.

This 5day safari will give you the chance to track the gentle Gorillas in Volcanoes National park, take game drives in Akagera National Park and enjoy tremendous bird watching, Nature walks as well as participate in cultural excursions.

Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda via Kigali Airport

When you arrive in Rwanda, you will be met by your driver guide at the airport who will drive you to Akagera National Park located east near the Tanzanian boarder. This is a 2 hour drive filled with sights of beautiful scenery through the rich country of Rwanda.

Once there, you will have lunch and thereafter you will go for a game drive South of the park along the Lake Ihema circuit where there are a catalogue of animals including Masai, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes, Nile Crocodiles Hippos, and also many other mammal species. Lowland swamps and water bodies that gently rise in the backyard just add an awesome spice to the game drive.

Day 2: Game drive, Boat trip at Akagera National Park

Having explored the southern circuit on day 1 today will be dedicated to the north. After the morning breakfast you will be driven to the northern circuit of the park to enjoy the beautiful sights of the landscape as well as wildlife including hippos, lions, crocodiles to mention but a few. After this escapade you will return to your accommodation relax by the pool as you wait for lunch. Day 3: Akagera National Park to Volcanoes National Park through Kigali City

Today will see us say good bye to Akagera National park and head to volcanoes National park through Kigali. After breakfast the journey will begin and while in Kigali you will get the opportunity to listen and see for yourself what happened in 1994 in Rwanda genocide. A warning to all our guests is that the stories are a lot emotional. Then you will head for the volcanoes national park that houses gorgeous carefully terraced hills that gradually merge to form the base of the volcanoes that has about 5 peaks.

This is where you will spend the remaining days of your tour in the amazing cottages. You will need to sleep early as you are going to get very early the next day.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking at Parc National des Volcans

A day filled with gorilla excursion, you will have a verly early breakfast before being driven to Kingi station for a briefing before you hit the tracks. Once you reach your destination, you will see strong, young, playful gorillas that will welcome you in a language best understood by them and probably the game rangers who have spent enough time with them. Your guide will often let you know the meaning of some of the gestures of these creatures which are more less like humans. It is common to see these gorillas do things we can do like feed their young ones, brush their fur or even put the young ones to sleep.

After resting, you may participate in cultural tours with the loving and warm community which is always there to entertain the visitors.
