Pinned onto Nutrition and diet

When it comes to healthy food and a natural cure for a disease, the relationship between those two concepts is quite close. In most cases the cure is so cheap; you wouldn’t even imagine that it was as simple as that to get it. The concept and belief that is mostly presented to us is that we have to buy an expensive medicine; otherwise there is no other cure.

However, this is just so the pharmacological industry can profit, while we hope for a miracle. So, we would like to encourage you to go back to the roots of curing a disease, and that is by the consumption of simple and nutritious foods.

We think it is worth trying before spending tons of money on some medicine that might not work, right?  In this article we talk about the number one worldwide cure, rich in vitamin C and used even by our ancestors- cabbage and its juice.

Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamin K, B6, folate, dietary fiber, antioxidants and minerals. It also has antiseptic and anti-disease effects, because of the compounds sulforaphane and glucosinolates which stimulate the enzymes of the digestive system and help the body detoxify.

The compound sulfophane has also been shown to protect cells from cancer. In many studies it has been shown that the cruciferous vegetables, including cabbage, are on the top of the list of fighting colon cancer.

Nevertheless, cabbage will help you with the following diseases: all the other types of cancer (breast, liver, lungs or ovary), hangovers, chronic coughing, arthritis, inflammations, stomach ulcers, anemia, etc.

What is also very important is that cabbage helps you lose weight, by boosting your metabolism, easing any constipation problems and preventing the conversion of sugar into fat.

So, now that we have informed you thoroughly about the amazing benefits of the cabbage, here’s what you’ll need to prepare the cabbage juice:

A juicer

Knife

Warm water

One middle-sized cabbage

A little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar( ACV)

Directions:

Soak the cabbage into the warm water and pour a little bit of apple cider vinegar onto it. Use the knife to chop the stem off and cut the cabbage into half.

Make sure the half of the cabbage fits in your juicer and blend it until you get a drinking juice. When it comes to the other half, you can save it and use it for later.

There isn’t a restriction when it comes to the daily dosage of cabbage juice. Of, course we have to mention that any exaggerations may lead to intestinal gas and bloating. So, the juice that you will get from one cabbage will be enough for the day.

You can divide it into 2, as in the recipe, and drink the first half in the morning and the second one in the evening.

Enjoy your healthy drink!
