Scenes from Outside Lands 2014
Today, Outside Lands unveils its 2015 food and drink lineup. As reported in today’s Scoop column, there will be another massive collection of local vendors at the three-day Golden Gate Park festival (August 7-9) to pair alongside the musical acts, which include D’Angelo, Mumford and Sons, the Black Keys, Kendrick Lamar, and Elton John, among many others.
As in years past, the Outside Lands food and drink options are bringing the star power — and volume — too.
In addition to food trucks and many of the city’s favorite casual vendors — Azalina’s, Little Skillet, Lucca, Pica Pica, Sugar & Spun — you’ve got the fancy restaurants doing festival foods: AQ with “Sweet, Spicy and Shroomy Waffles”; Delfina with Meatball Subs; La Urbana woth Mexican Chorizo Dogs; Stones Throw with Chicken Parms; and Rich Table with its Dried Porcini Doughnuts. Two vendors — Namu and Pacific Catch — have been there all eight years.
Even Michael Mina is getting into the act this year, too. He will bring his Tailgate concept from Levi’s Stadium up to the city, with a Burgers and BBQ area in the VIP section.
Other dedicated areas on the roster are Beer Lands (32 breweries), Wine Lands (37 winemakers, 120+ wines), Choco Lands, Cheese Lands and GastroMagic, the (ahem) “culinary entertainment” stage that debuted last year. The GastroMagic schedule is still TBD, but here are the participants in the rest of the festival:
