In a rather propitious bit of timing, the Atlanta Young Republicans hosted Attorney General Sam Olens at their monthly meeting on Wednesday. Olens would not comment on the “elephant” in the room, the looming rumors about his possible resignation and appointment to the job at the embroiled in controversy Kennesaw State University. He did, however, manage to answer a number of other questions.
After his years of service in government and as attorney general particularly, Olens is adept at walking the line between laying out convincing facts on an issue and not giving a personal opinion on an issue which could later come back against him in a trial. This does not mean he avoided answering questions, except for the aforementioned one regarding KSU.
