The third round voting has ended there were a few more upsets this round. Lets take a look at what happened.

The ABC Region saw a big win from #1 The Walking Dead. Doctor Who also pulled off a comfortable victory. But #2 Dexter only won by 3 votes over #7 Orange is the New Black. #6 True Detective also pulled off a 3 vote upset of #3 New Girl. So this region has 2 cable and 2 premium channel shows left in it.

The FOX Region is the “upset region”. But the highest seed left in this region, #2 Modern Family, completely destroyed Mike & Molly, who barely made it to this round by 91% of the vote. The rest of the match ups were really close. Parks & Recreation beat South Park by 1 vote. #6 Mad Men also won by just 1 vote over #3 The Blacklist.

The CBS Region once again featured some easy wins. #1 Breaking Bad and #5 Game of Thrones dominated in their wins against Homeland and House of Cards. #2 How I Met Your Mother and Arrow won by less margins, but still pulled off comfortable wins over #7 True Blood and The Americans. This region is still the least upset region.

The NBC Region didn’t see any real close match ups, but it did have two upsets. #1 The Big Bang Theory had a closer than expected win over Community. The Colbert Report had no problems beating Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Revenge pulled off another BIG upset over another fellow ABC show. This time #2 Scandal was defeated by Revenge. To complete the #6 over #3 sweep, #6 Sons of Anarchy beat #3 Pretty Little Liars.

So out of the final 16 shows, 10 of them are one of the top 32 seeds. There are still a handful of unseeded shows that could still continue their run. One unseeded show is guaranteed a spot in the Elite 8. Lots of interesting match ups this round.

Lets also note the network breakdown among the final 16 shows. We have 2 shows from ABC and 2 from CBS. 1 each from NBC and the CW. None from FOX. So that means only 4 of the final 16 shows come from the top 5 networks. AMC leads all with 3 shows left. HBO has 2. Comedy Central, FX, Showtime, and BBC America all have 1 show left. And Netflix still has 1 original show left as well.
