In addition to bringing the editor to current-gen consoles, next month’s update is also adding new options to the editor to give players greater control over directing their own GTA V fan films.

“Next month, the Rockstar Editor officially makes its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as part of the next downloadable update for Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. This update will also bring with it some new features for the Rockstar Editor that will be available for all three platforms including PC, along with some exciting new gameplay for GTA Online Freemode that we’ll be sharing more about in the coming weeks.”

Furthermore, the update will add more fonts as well as let gamers copy and paste their audio custom audio markers.

Speaking of improved audio features, September’s GTA V title update will also give players access to a larger selection of tracks to use in their custom films. All of the changes to the Rockstar Editor will also be available on the PC edition of Grand Theft Auto V. Gamers can expect to see even more new features made to the editing tools in the future. According to Rockstar Games, they have plenty of additional changes in store for the game in later updates.

While the Rockstar Editor while finally be on all current-gen platforms with the next patch, those still playing on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of GTA V won’t be receiving the update. Unfortunately, the last-gen consoles simply can’t run the editor due to hardware issues.
