The Drain-Age Plug.
Vinny's kayak was apparently stored behind the couch, on top of Angelika's yak.
The bow faces the wall, while it appears a person can walk near the stern area.
As you can see in the post above this one.
An open drain-age should have been easily seen. Like in this pix I have from The Vinny kayak shot on the beach:
The drain-age plug has a plastic anchor thing-a-ma-bob on its bottom,
so that water can drain out when the plug is unscrewed but still stay in place.
If you want to remove it, a person simply opens the cargo hatch, reachs in, find the plug and gently bends the plastic.
Grasp it at the top and carefully pull it up + out, and OH! Make sure you put it back.
The photo of the drain-age plug that Investigators have, from Vinny's kayak, intrigues me.
Why? Because it looks like someone unscrewed the plug,
and grasping the whole plug, not simply the plugs handle,
yanked real hard and ripped the drain-age plug outta the hole,
breaking off the plastic anchor.
Odd this.
I have never seen any pix or video of Angelika or Vinny from that fateful day when Vinny had his "accident". Have you?
Odd too, for Angelika seems to luv Instagram, hey, look what we're doin', ya know?
How does anyone know that the drain-age was actually removed before the "accident",
so the cat could play with it? Seen any pix of the Raskal playing with it?
I've seen the kitty play with a paper ball, a foot, St Patty's Day beads, eat some greens, ya know.
Where the drain-age plug toy game pix or vid?
We have discussed The Drain-Age Plug a lil' bit on Websleuths. Let's talk here too.
Here's a very relevant post I wrote and want to share here, can you folks help answer the questions?

Some of you folks have seen the wind graphs from Sunday, April 19, 2015, right?
Angelika and Vinny left Plum Point around 4:00pm.
The wind, after calming down earlier that afternoon, has started blowing already, it has changed direction, it is now blowing from up the South, as the River flows against it, heading seaward for the next 50 or so odd miles.
If Vinny's kayak did not have his drain-age plug screwed in,
his kayak should have taken on water in thru that open drain-age hole on their 1st paddle.
As they paddled towards Bannerman Island.
He should have some water in the stern area of his kayak already when he landed on Bannerman.
He likely would have noticed this if any significant amount came in, as it will slosh forward as a dude paddles in wind chop or thru + over wind created swells. But maybe it was not enough to notice yet.
I would really like to see an enhanced CCTV image as Vinny drove on the highways towards Plum Point.
Is it possible to see if the drain-age plug is still there? Or is the drain-age hole open?
The reason I ask,
is that I find it a little hard to believe that Vinny had no clue his drain-age plug was missing.
How come he did not notice it as he took his kayak out from behind his living room couch?
Placed it down next to his car? Picked it up to load onto his car?
Un-loaded it? carried it to the waters edge? Launced it. Arrived at Bannerman, pulled his kayak up to shore? Opened the storage hatch to get a Modelo beer for Angelika and himself? Vinny should have seen any water inside his kayak then. Or noticed that his drain-age plug was missing as he closed the cargo hatch? Unless Angelika did all of this...
From what I recall, Vinny worked as a manager,
so he is not some clue-less clod type-a dude, right?
Surely he should have noticed the open hole on his stern.
Did he do anything to close it? Might Graswald not want to discuss this in her public interviews?
Heck, I've even wondered if Angelika might have removed the drain-age plug while out at Bannerman Island
before heading back or even removed it while out on the water?

On Websleuths, Silly1 responded, she lives near there. Read her reply:
I think you're on to something here. From your pictures, it seems that it would be difficult to miss the open hole where the drain plug should be. I'm beginning to wonder if she took the drain plug out while on the island (the one that the cat played with could have been a spare for all we know.) At that point, he might not have thought he had another option except to try to paddle back without it. All we have is her story right now and what she's portrayed on social media and I agree....there is something very fishy here. JMHO.
I'm also wondering if perhaps they have photographic evidence that determines whether or not the drain plug was in the kayak at the time of the launch. The Bridge Authority has cameras on the bridges. The state police early in the investigation had set up a road check near Plum Point to hand out flyers and talk to people who frequent the park. Perhaps they were able to get a photo of them (and/or the kayak) before or just after they launched. FWIW, Plum Point is a relatively popular place. Each time I've been there, there were always people near the benches or along the beach. People with small children can often be seen skipping rocks, fishing, etc. Others appear to simply enjoy photographing the views and/or birdwatch (many times with scopes and binoculars.) It was also a time when striper fisherman were getting eager for their season to start, so there may have been shore fisherman there as well. It's possible someone happened to get them or the kayaks in a photo shot. The authorities must have something to support the charges and their original statement that this was an elaborate ruse. JMHO.

If the drain-age plug was still screwed in,
but removed while out at Bannerman Island, or as they got back onto the water, that would help explain a few things.
Heck, maybe Angelika did remove it out there, under the pretense of havin' another Modelo, you too, Vinny dear?
By the way, anyone know what Angelika's BAC - her blood/alchol content was that night?
No way she didn't have few Modelo's out there, right?
Was Angelika or her personal belongings searched after she was rescued?
If she had yanked hard and ripped the drain-age plug outta the hole after unscrewing it out on The River or at right before leaving Bannerman Island, could she have still had Vinny's drain-age on her or in her possession that night as the search for Vinny got underway?
Feel free to chime in...
See ya, RW
