Informa Telecoms & Media is seeking a talented, organised and skilled technical web developer to work across our 200+ marketing, content led and event websites.
Working in a challenging, creative and highly commercial environment you will maintain, update and improve existing sites, as well as implementing new sites from scratch using our content management systems.
You should have strong HTML skills together with related technologies such as CSS and JavaScript, ideally including jQuery. You will also require knowledge of PHP, and experience with WordPress and MySQL would be an advantage.
Candidates should be able to provide links to relevant recent work online.
Key activities:
WordPress plugin and theme development using PHP and SQL
Website construction using hand crafted HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Providing technical advice and solutions to internal customers
Main responsibilities:
Plugin development and maintenance
Construction and maintenance of websites
Hand coding valid XHTML & CSS
Liaise with other departments within the business to determine and implement their requirements
Using internal systems to deliver content in a variety of forms to our customers
