Senior Conference Producer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior conference producer to join IIR Telecoms & Technology, taking responsibility for programme content and development on a number of conferences which we host in key markets across the world including successful conference series and large scale events.
IIR Telecoms & Technology boasts a market-leading position in the sector, with events covering every angle of the telecoms and critical communications ecosystem. Our events are sponsored by world leading technology vendors and they offer service providers and critical communications users a unique opportunity to network and share business intelligence.
The Role:
We are seeking an intelligent and entrepreneurial individual with proven communication and research skills who is looking for fast track development and responsibility. The successful candidate will play a vital role in further developing a number of events by continually improving the content and value of the conference programme & learning experience, increasing the number of senior management speakers as well as developing specific contacts and industry knowledge.
Responsibilities will include:
Playing an important role in market analysis, the development of single and multi-streamed conference agendas and securing senior management speakers
Developing contacts with operators, associations, critical communications users, regulators and other key industry players
Working with a highly motivated sales team to deliver growing exhibition and sponsorship sales through continuous research of the vendor ecosystems
Working with the marketing to ensure content-rich campaigns through the use of online and traditional media
Working with the operations team to deliver an outstanding on-site event experience for our clients
Having responsibility for a successful series of events and growing these further with innovative formats and new market players
Identifying and developing a business plan for new topics, new event formats and identifying new revenue streams
International travel for both business development and to our own events
Skills & experience:
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded and entrepreneurial individual with proven communication and research skills. The key attributes of a successful candidate will include:
Education to degree level with 2.1 or equivalent is essential
Previous conference production experience is essential and previous experience in telecoms sector would be an advantage
Analytical research skill and the ability to quickly assimilate business information
The ability to develop best in class, industry leading conference agendas
Commercial acumen and the ability to think creatively to solve business problems
The ability to develop strong relationships with key industry players
The role is London-based, but our events are hosted in locations which offer exciting opportunities to travel and develop experience of working in a very diverse range of environments worldwide.
Languages are beneficial but not essential.
