The best made better by the team at Carbonfiber Dynamics

Most automotive tuners focus on improving the mechanical or electronic aspects of a car.  What happens when a leading carbon fiber manufacturer focuses on making a great car even better?

T

he Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PS BMW M4 is a heavily modified BMW M4.  The M4 is already one of the fasted M cars ever produced by BMW sprinting from 0 to 62 (100 km/h) in just 4.1 seconds.  The Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PS BMW M4 takes the performance of the BMW M4 to a new level.

BMW M4

The Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PS BMW M4 has a great foundation from which to start from, the BMW M4

Based upon the BMW 4-series, the BMW M4 has a very powerful twin turbo charged engine rated at 425 hp (317 kW: 431 PS) and producing 550 N-m of torque.  The 6 speed manual M4 tips the scales at 3,556 lb (1,613 kg) while the 7 speed M-DCT tips in some 40 kg.

Additional differences over the standard 4-series include improved handling, suspension and braking systems, and aerodynamic body enhancements.  The M4 also has a stiffer chassis and uses carbon fiber extensively throughout the vehicle.  The result is a significant weight reduction compared to the standard 4-series.

Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PM BMW M4

Just how does Carbon Fiber Dynamics improve upon the BMW M4 with the Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PM BMW M4?  Funny you should ask.  Think even additional weight savings and more powerful engine.

Located in the Ruhr area of Germany, Carbon Fiber Dynamics is a new company focusing on aftermarket and racing carbon fiber parts.  Founded in 2010, Carbon Fiber Dynamics makes carbon fiber parts and accessories for many makes of cars including Audi, Bentley, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati and more.

Carbon fiber is extremely strong, stiff, and light.  As a result, it is a popular material for use in applications that require the strength of steel and the weight of plastic.  Think race car technology and aviation.

The BMW M4 already uses carbon fiber reinforced plastic extensively throughout the vehicle including the roof, drive shaft, roof bow, trunk and front brace structure.  The Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PS takes it one step further with a Varis Carbon front lip, an Alpha-N adjustable rear, carbon hood, side sills and diffuser.  The use of carbon fiber does not only reduce the weight of the vehicle, it is designed to improve aerodynamics.

Carbonfiber 700 HP BMW M4 Engine modifications

Weight savings and aerodynamic improvements are just some of the ingredients needed to improve upon an already fantastic car.  Add a mind-blowing engine to the mix and you end up with something amazing.

The builders of the Carbonfiber Dynamics 700 PM BMW M4 added a Burger Motorsport JB4 system with fine adjustment and CANBUS command with eight different ECU maps.  The result is 600hp at 1.8 bar of boost and 700hp at 2.3 bars of boost.  Torque at 2.3 bars of boost is 827 Nm.

The turbos were upgraded by modifying the M4-charger TTE6xx with a bigger CNC milled compressor, a bigger turbine with turbine grinding, gap optimized compressor side, CNC milled compressor and turbine casing, connected to a CNC ported intake manifold.

The exhaust system uses the Akropovic Evolution system.  The lightweight titanium exhaust system results in a 40% weight reduction when compared with the stainless steel BMW M4 that comes from the factory.  The end result is an additional 6.5HP and 4.5 Nm of torque.

Carbonfiber 700 HP BMW M4 Brakes

Brakes were upgraded as well to handle the increase in horsepower.  The standard M4 braking system has been swapped with high-performance Mov’it, which features a 14.9-inch disc on the rear wheels and 15.4-inch discs up front.  Toyo Proxes T1 tires are wrapped around a new 20-inch BBS wheel with Bilstein B16 DampTronic coil overs used to produce the perfect set up.

BMW M4 GTS

Not one to rest on their laurels, BMW heard the feedback from hardcore racers and has responded with the BMW M4 GTS.  A more aggressive version of the BMW M4 that will be available in limited numbers and sold in the United States, the BMW M4 GTS will be available in a matte black finish, integrated roll cage and include additional weight saving and performance-enhancing modifications.  Engine output has been increased from 425HP to 493HP.  The result is a 7-minute 28-second lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

While the performance of the BMW M4 GTS is very impressive, the boys at Carbonfiber Dynamics have really outdone themselves with the Carbonfiber 700 HP BMW M4.  Their creation has outdone the magic created by the M-group at BMW.
