We might be jumping the gun a bit but recent reports about the on-going feud between Liam and Noel Gallagher has come to a truce, giving us hope that the legendary Brit-band Oasis could be reunited. As a big fan of their music this could be the best news we have heard all year, considering we are only nine days in.

Since the brothers decided to go their own way their music seems much more diluted with some disputing that Liam has the better voice with his Beady Eye band, while the more talented songwriter Noel with High Flying Birds has also managed to split many fans into either category. Personally, I found that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is better, but they still don’t have that all round Oasis feel that we miss with Liam involved.

In a recent article on The Mirror talk about an Oasis reunion on the horizon will give many fans hope that the band can return and re-establish themselves as one of the best ever British bands. According to reports the reconciliation happened at a family wedding in Ireland, and it seems the pair will be set to open up a new bar together with their mother Peggy aptly called Champagne Supernova, which could be an indie rock-themed establishment that serves artisan food.

While we take news of the band reforming with a pinch of salt, original guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs gives us the impression this is indeed the case, and we hope that their time apart has given then space to grow up a bit and bring us more Britpop music to keep us entertained.

Regarded as Britain’s most notorious siblings, we are unsure whether they have really put their feud behind them, as they have barely communicated since their backstage bust up back in 2009. Apparently, it was Liam who initiated their reconciliation after a recent trip to Manchester with his mum Peggy.

From what we heard from Noel when he was last on the Jonathon Ross Show, we get the impression that he left it up to Liam to make the first move, and didn’t rule out the return of Oasis in the future. We also understand the pair consulted celebrity pals about plausible venues for their new bar, which could be a great way to keep the communication going.

I don’t know about you but I loved the last Oasis album, although I am a bit biased as I regard them as the best band ever, but as individuals they don’t have the same impact. Are you hoping to see Oasis back again showing the world they are the undisputed kings of Britpop?
