Fans of Pokémon X and Y may have had the impression that Nintendo has gone live with Pokebank in the US, but contrary to what is being reported this is still not apparent. As gamers wait patiently for the release after the December 27 delay, we are intrigued to know whether Nintendo are going to offer an excuse for the wait.

In a recent article on Product Reviews they inform their readers that the Pokémon X and Y Bank is not live yet, and eagerly await an official news concerning this, as many gamers were expecting to make use of this by the time the New Year arrived.

They also highlight some lucky users that have access to Pokebank from the initial Japanese launch, although they also mention that servers were up for a few hours, giving some users the opportunity to download Pokebank before the global eShop servers went down.

With this in mind, the majority of gamers have nothing and Nintendo seem reluctant on disclosing the reasons behind this, therefore, we can understand that many users are not overly impressed with Nintendo for releasing in Japan first, so we are hoping the company offer some form of compensation to disappointed gamers.

In other Pokémon X and Y news we recently spoke about a Nintendo 3DS Emulator on the PC, giving the popular game a chance to branch out, considering this title is restricted to the handheld. We also showed a video of this and spoke about the possibility of both Pokémon Plus and Minus coming to the Wii U sometime in the future, which could offer some truly revolutionary features, although we are not expecting this will happen anytime soon.

As we wait for some official news on the Pokebank release date, and excuses why this is not live now, we are concerned whether you have been waiting patiently since December 27th.
