INDIANAPOLIS–Metro Police were called to a beauty school in Castleton Saturday afternoon when a group of students became angry after learning their school was going out of business.

Around 3:45 p.m. police responded to Kaye’s Beauty College in the 6300 block of East 82nd Street on a report that seven people were yelling at the school’s staff,  demanding their money back.

The crowd dispersed before police arrived.  A note on the door of the school read:

“Kaye’s Castleton Beauty and Barber College regretfully has permanently closed today Saturday, October 15, 2016.

Students…you may come by Tuesday, October 18 3 to 5 pm to pick up your transcript, empty locker and pick up personal items

If transcripts are not picked up at this time they will be mailed to your home address on file, as soon as possible.

Please visit our school in Noblesville for services.”

A call was placed to the business to get additional information. The employee who answered the phone could be heard  telling another employee that we were on the phone and asked if they should just hang up.  Seconds later, the call ended.

Just a little more than two weeks ago Regency Beauty Institute closed all 79 of its campuses.  The company said it did not have the money to continue to operate.
