INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 21, 2016) – Sponsorships are no stranger to the Indianapolis 500, but the Greatest Spectacle in racing has never had a presenting sponsor.

Until now, that is.

May’s race will be called the “100th Indianapolis 500 Presented by PennGrade Motor Oil,” officials are set to announce Thursday.

According to our media partners at the Indy Star, D-A Lubricants, the parent company of PennGrade, has signed a three-year deal worth $5 million. Product bottles will feature IMS/IndyCar logos as part of the sponsorship, according to RACER magazine.

PennGrade is meant for high-performance street and racing engines, according to the company. The motor oil is also an associate sponsor for Graham Rahal of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
