Tata Hexa Launched in India. The launch of the Tata Hexa ads an all-new flagship to Tata’s vehicle range in India and the new SUV will replace the Aria. Prices for the Tata Hexa start at Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

The all-new Tata Hexa is available in three different versions in India: XE, XM, and XT. The XE gets less power and a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the XM and XT variants are available with a more powerful version of the same engine and either 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearboxes.

The top spec XT also gets a 4×4 version. In all the Tata Hexa is available in six different variants in India. Tata dealers across the country are already allowing customers to book the new Hexa for a nominal fee of Rs 11,000. The Hexa will compete with the likes of the Mahindra XUV 500 and the Toyota Innova Crysta.

Tata Hexa Specifications

The Tata Hexa is powered by a 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine which is mated to one of the three gearboxes: 5-speed manual (XE variant only), 6-speed manual, and 6-speed automatic. The 4×4 version uses an electronically controlled Borg-Warner All-Wheel-Drive system to send power to all four wheels. There are four driving modes available with the 4×4 variant: Auto, Comfort, Dynamic, and off-road which can be selected using a dial.

Tata Hexa Dimensions

The Tata Hexa is based on the same platform that underpins the Aria, but the SUV features a raised ride height to help it really go off-road.

Tata Hexa Design And Features

The Tata Hexa features a very aggressive design up front with smoked projector headlamps flanking Tata’s signature grille. The muscular front bumper plays host to a large central air dam which is flanked on either side by the integrated DRL and fog lamps and kept safe from the rough stuff by a skid plate. On the sides, the profile of the Hexa does remind you of the Aria and the new SUV sits on either 16-inch steel wheels or 19-inch alloys.

At the rear, rectangular wraparound taillamps feature flexible LEDs and are connected by a chrome strip housing the Tata logo.

The Hexa features a black sporty interior with sculpted seats and space for either 6 or seven occupants. Also present are ambient mood lighting and Tata’s ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman which features a 5-inch touchscreen with voice commands and other connectivity options along with a 10-speaker audio system by Harmann.

Tata has also crammed the Hexa with all the safety tech available including 6 airbags (front, side, and curtain airbags along with ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold control, hill descent control, and a traction control system.
