Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Meditation offers us many things, but spiritual power is the most important. It shows us how to choose happiness rather than sorrow, how to decide on victory rather than defeat. In this, the oldest form of meditation, we don’t attempt to empty our mind. We learn to watch our thoughts and gently direct and focus them.

Friday 2 to Sunday 4 May

The Power of the Mind

How often have you resented being told to ‘mind your own business’, not realising it is probably the best advice ever. Only I can nurture, train and harness the power of my mind. It is the most valuable thing I have in life…isn’t it? Maureen shares that scientists are now helping us to understand the magic behind our meditation experiences.

Facilitator: special guest Maureen Chen

Friday 16 to Sunday 18 May

i-meditate; therefore I am

A weekend retreat for men.

On the journey of life, we need to renew our energy.

The first step is to think…

…reflect, and realise, who I am.

Meditation for the World

Friendship

What the world needs today is for us all to experience a loving relationship of true friendship in our everyday lives. This will inspire everyone. The truth and love that exist in our friendships are there to give other people an understanding of the meaning of life. When we extend good wishes and pure feelings to everyone and see their innate goodness, any weaknesses they have are removed and their goodness can emerge. True feelings of friendship really do work in this way.

Facilitator: Ravi Kotwal

Friday 23 to Sunday 25 May

Silent retreat

7 Steps to Silence

This is a silent weekend during which the Seven Steps to Silence will be presented and explored through silent reflection and activities. These steps aim to enable each one of us to experience our own inner silence, helping us to create the space in our lives that we need – anytime, anywhere.

Facilitator: Kalvinder Shields

Friday 13 to Sunday 15 June

Cool, Calm and Confident

A spiritual journey means to be able to travel inward and understand what is going on within my own being. The more I know myself, the more I am able to love myself. Without knowing myself it is not possible to love myself. As love for myself grows so does my confidence.

Join us for an interactive program including dialogue, reflection, creative activities, Yo Chi, gentle movement and meditation experiences to inspire, motivate and empower.

Facilitators: Marilyn Martin and Lynnette Dillon

Meditation for the World

Defusing your Anger

Many situations in life trigger some form of the emotion of anger in us. This robs us of our peace and happiness and affects our vision of ourselves, others and the world in general. By becoming aware of the triggers for your ‘anger’ reactions, you can empower yourself to defuse your anger and become an instrument for peace in the world.

Self – Respect

The whole world seems to be distressed because people want to be given respect. But if you ask for respect, you can never receive it. There is only a little bit of respect in the world and a great deal of defamation. We may encounter praise, but only for a short while before we have to put up with more defamation. The key to gaining respect and finding happiness is honesty. Where there is honesty there is love, and where there is love there is also respect.
